Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum And Ripple are lumped together into the same category by some investors&a;mdash;the cryptocurrency assets that are ready to collapse.

That&a;rsquo;s according to Linda Butcher Co founder of Rewards blockchain LTD., who sees better days returning in the cryptocurrency markets.

There have been better days and worse days for major cryptocurrencies. The better days were back in November and December, when the major cryptocurrencies raced to new highs in a bullish rotation pattern. The worse days have been the last seven days, as they all have raced towards old lows in a bearish pattern. Bitcoin is down 19.26%, Ethereum is down 25.90%, Ripple is down 21.28% and Litecoin 26.65%–see table 1.

Can you blame the market for placing its chips on the streaming content giant? Look at the easy base case on why an investor should like the stock:

No talk of government regulation as is the case with other FAANG names Facebook (FB) and Action Alerts PLUS holding Amazon (AMZN) .  A permanent expectation that a company such as Apple (AAPL)  or Disney (DIS) will eventually acquire Netflix.  Growth hasn’t sharply slowed as are the situations at Apple and Alphabet (GOOGL) .  While Netflix has its competitors (Hulu, Amazon etc.), there is no one stepping up to compete with the company’s owned content efforts.  People continue to cut-the-cord, playing right into the Netflix business model.

To be sure, there are likely hundreds of other reasons for the relative out-performance of the stock. For instance, Goldman Sachs (GS) analyst Heath Terry thinks Netflix’s financial results stand to get even stronger amid stepped up market efforts.

Top Stocks To Buy For 2018: Sandstorm Gold Ltd(SAND )

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Rich Duprey]

Sandstorm Gold (NYSEMKT:SAND) has outperformed the precious metal itself over the past year, with shares rising 35% year to date. Last month it reported third-quarter profits of $7 million, a big U-turn from 2015, when it suffered losses of $5.5 million. In fact, its entire operation was doing better with greater production: lower cash costs, but higher cash margins; and greater operating cash flows, all of which allowed it to pay down its revolving credit facility. That means it has no bank debt and its entire $110 million revolving credit facility is available to make acquisitions.
