Top Diversified Bank Stocks To Invest In 2015

Many investors look to the so-called BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China) for emerging growth opportunities. However, these investors may be overlooking one emerging powerhouse in Southeast Asia.

Overall, as an investor, I particularly like emerging-market dividend stocks for 2013. Companies in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index have increased dividend payments steadily for the past 10 years. Unlike earnings, dividend payments have been far steadier, with payout ratios mostly in the 30% to 40% range.

Additionally, as many of these companies mature, the potential to increase dividend payouts is high — companies in emerging markets often have lower debt levels than firms in developed markets. The number of emerging stocks with high dividend yields in the MSCI World Index has increased from 60 in 1995 to more than 300 last year.

Ultrasound, which designs, manufactures, and distributes ultrasound systems and transducers primarily in the urology, surgery, robotic assisted surgery, anesthesia, and general imaging markets. Security Technology, which includes advanced threat detecting CT systems. In March 2013, it completed the acquisition of Ultrasonix Medical Corporation. In September 2013, the Company announced that it has acquired the remaining ownership stake in PocketSonics, Inc.

Medical Imaging

During the fiscal year ended July 31, 2012 (fiscal 2012), the Company’s medical imaging segment, which accounted for approximately 59% of its net revenue, which consists primarily of electronic systems and subsystems for medical imaging, sold globally to OEM producers of CT, MRI, and digital mammography systems. Products under this consist of: X-Ray Detectors, which converts the x-ray energy in a CT machine to useful analog signals for processing in the DAS.

DAS, which are used to process the signals created by the detectors and feed them as a digital stream to a reconstruction computer to create high resolution images. The DAS is designed with many multi-channel circuit boards that process the analog signals from the detectors and convert them into digital signals through an array of analog to digital.< /p>

converters. DMS, which the brains of the CT sys! tem and consists of both the detector array and the DAS in one package. This system provides its OEM customers a level of integration that allows for lower cost and faster time to market. Integrated Gantries, which is a component of the CT system (detectors, DAS, x-ray tube and power supplies), are mounted on a rotating ring assembly called a gantry. It provides integrated gantries to its OEM customers as another level of integration.

For OEM producers of MRI equipment, it also supplies two key components: gradient amplifiers and radio frequency, or RF, amplifiers. It has developed a range of amplifier solutions for its customers ranging from low-magnetic-field systems (< 0.3 Tesla) to ultra high-field systems (> 7.0 Tesla) used in academic research hospitals.

Gradient Amplifier, which is a power systems used to drive a set of coils located inside the MRI system and around the patient. The coils energize the atomic structure of patients’ anatomy in order to develop tissue and structure images. Gradient amplifiers must be specifically designed for different MRI field strengths ranging from 0.3 Tesla to >7.0 Tesla. RF Amplifiers, which is a power systems used to control another set of the coils within the MRI system that are used to read-back the signals from the anatomy generated by the gradient coils. These signals are then processed in a reconstruction computer to create images. The RF amplifiers must have a high signal-to-noise ratio to produce the cleanest images.

The Company’s digital mammography products consist primarily of digital mammography selenium-based x-ray detector plates, sold directly to OEM customers for screening and diagnostic applications in mammography. These x-ray detector plates are used by OEMs in mammography systems to convert x-ray signals into high resolution two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) images of breast tissue to aid in the detection of breast cancer. Its detector plates for mammography applications are sold to! medical ! OEMs for use in products worldwide. Its mammography product portfolio consists of: LMAM, which is its large area detector plate, based on selenium technology, is used primarily for European markets and was recently introduced in the United States market. This detector plate is also compatible with systems that can perform tomosynthesis, which creates 3-D images through a series of exposures to more accurately detect lesions in the breast. SMAM, which is its small area detector plate uses the same selenium-based technology as the LMAM detector and is manufactured primarily for the Asian markets. Within its medical imaging segment, it also designs and manufactures precision motion control systems, which it supplies to OEM customers for use in computer-controlled automation systems primarily in the semiconductor and medical markets.

Ultrasound

The Company’s ultrasound segment designs and manufactures procedure-driven ultrasound systems and transduc ers, principally under the B-K Medical brand. These products are primarily for end-user markets in urology and surgery and accounted for approximately 29% of its net revenue in fiscal year 2012. The fundamental underpinnings for SAIC’s cyber-security business have been strong for quite a while, as growing cyber-security threats jeopardize key government and private-sector technology installations. With North Korean hackers having successfully shut down tens of thousands of servers in South Korea, the U.S. government has gotten serious about the threat, and SAIC won an extension in May for an eighth year serving the Pentagon on a contract that could be worth as much as $381 million. Moreover, the company is working with non-military government applications, having won a $140 million contract alongside competitor CACI International (NYSE: CACI  ) to deliver IT support to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Moreover, SAIC has an advantage over CACI in that while the government agency didn’t actually award CACI a definite part of the contract when it made the announcement in March, SAIC already won one of the major parts of the contract, with expecta tions of taking at least half of the $140 million for itself.

One commercial leasing player that insiders are active in here is Aircastle (AYR), which acquires, leases and sells high-utility commercial jet aircraft to passenger and cargo airlines throughout the world. Insiders are buying this stock into notable strength, since shares are up sharply by 52% in 2013.

Aircastle has a market cap of $1.5 billion and an enterprise value of $4.8 billion. This stock trades at a premium valuation, with a trailing price-to-earnings of 124.68. This is not a cash-rich company, since the total cash position on its balance sheet is $238.15 million and its total debt is $3.48 billion. This stock currently sports a dividend yield of 4.2%.

A director just bought 30,000 shares, or about $563,000 worth of stock, at $18.79 per share.

From a technical perspective, AYR is currently trending above both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, which is bullish. This stock has been uptrending strong for the last five months, with shares moving higher from its low of $15.84 to its recent high of $19.50 a share. During that uptrend, shares of AYR have been consistently making higher lows and higher highs, which is bullish technical price action. That move has now pushed shares of AYR within range of triggering a big breakout trade.

If you’re bullish on AYR, then I would look for long-biased trades as long as this stock is trending above its 50-day at $18.67 or above more support near $18, and then once it breaks out above its 52-week high at $19.50 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above that level with volume that hits near or above its three-month average volume of 430,032 shares. If that breakout hits soon, then AYR will set up to enter new 52-week high territory, which is bullish technical price action. Some possible upside targets off that breakout are $25 to $30 a share.
