That happy company was Terex (NYSE: TEX  ) , which was awarded $327.5 million in a fixed-price with an economic-price-adjustment contract for the sale and purchase of “commercial type cranes.” The company will perform this contract over the course of five years, through May 30, 2018, delivering cranes to Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agency sites in Virginia, Iowa, and South Dakota, and also abroad in Italy, France, and Germany.

The contract value equates to approximately 22% of annual revenues from Terex’s Cranes division and, if implemented in full, could secure 4.4% of that division’s business each year for the next five years.

Last, but certainly not least, we have Zeltiq Aesthetics, which utilizes its proprietary medical devices for the selective reduction of fat in patients. Understandably, we’re not talking about a pharmacological solution here or even a long-term one necessarily. This is more of an aesthetic solution in cases where diet and exercise aren’t meeting the patients’ goal, but it should be noted that people will pay top dollar to look healthier and thinner, so Zeltiq’s target audience is actually very large.

Advisors’ Opinion:

Judging from the company it’s keeping Green Automotive Co. (OTCMKTS:GACR) may have just made its way into the upper echelon of small cap stock opportunities. The electric car company joins Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OTCBB:ELTP), Amarantus Bioscience Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:AMBS), and only three other companies as Wall-Street.com’s “Best 6 Stocks” for January of 2014. As one of the top information resources for investors – particularly in terms of information regarding small and micro cap stocks – being named among the site’s top pick is an accolade for AMBS, ELTP, and GACR. Even more impressive is that Green Automotive Co. was the only consumer-goods name among those six. Amarantus Bioscience Holdings and Elite Pharmaceuticals are biotechnology names… an industry that can and often does attract a lot of attention just by the nature of the business. The other three names making the “Best 6” list were an energy explorer, a power-management technology manufacturer, and presc ription/medical food producer. For an electric car manufacturer to make the list speaks quite highly of GACR.

  • [By James E. Brumley]

At first glance, Amarantus Bioscience Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:AMBS) doesn’t look like anything more than a volatile mess. It’s up 17% today, but had been up twice that amount this morning. Even more exhausting is the fact AMBS, currently at $0.0529, had been as high as $0.089 and as low as $0.039 within the past three months. Point being, Amarantus Bioscience Holdings has been, and continues to be, all over the map.

  • [By Bryan Murphy]

I’ve taken bullish swings on – and been wrong to do so – Amarantus BioScience, Inc. (OTC:AMBS) before. My most recent bullish call on the budding biotech name was in April… a rally that fizzled shortly after I said it was just getting started. Somehow though, I find myself coming back to AMBS as a breakout candidate. This time, however, it’s for a slightly different reason.

Top 10 Medical Companies To Buy Right Now: Alcobra Ltd (ADHD)

Alcobra Ltd is an Israel-based Biopharmaceutical company. It focuses on the development and commercialization of a proprietary drug, MG01CI, to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a common and morbid neuropsychiatric condition in children and adults. Adult ADHD is associated with increased health risks and healthcare costs, higher divorce rates, lower levels of socioeconomic attainment, lower academic achievement, unemployment and work place deficits, increased risks for motor vehicle accidents, greater likelihood of additional psychiatric disorders, increased criminal activity and incarceration, and higher rates of substance use and abuse. MG01CI product has completed phase two studies. Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Roberto Pedone]

A biopharmaceutical stock that’s starting to trend within range of triggering a big breakout trade is Alcobra (ADHD), which is engaged in the development and commercialization of its proprietary drug, MG01CI, to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This stock has been on fire so far in 2013, with shares up huge by 126%.

If you take a look at the chart for Alcobra, you’ll notice that this stock has been trending sideways and consolidating over the last month and change, with shares moving between $14.78 on the downside and $18.75 on the upside. Shares of ADHD have now started to uptrend a bit over the last few weeks, with shares moving higher from its low of $15.05 to its recent high of $18.45 share. That move has started to push shares of ADHD within range of triggering a big breakout trade above the upper-end of its recent sideways trading chart pattern.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in ADHD if it manages to break out above its 50-day moving average of $17.79 a share, and then once it takes out some more key overhead resistance levels at $18.45 to $18.75 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above those levels with volume that hits near or above its three-month average action of 74,869 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then ADHD will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $22 to $24 a share. Any high-volume move above those levels will then give ADHD a chance to re-test or possibly take out its all-time high at $26.96 a share.

Traders can look to buy ADHD off any weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below some near-term support levels at $16.17 to $15.05 a share, or around $14.78 a share. One could also buy ADHD off strength once it starts to clear those breakout levels with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point.

Advisors’ Opinion:

When a biotech stock has already gained 556% this year, like Intercept Pharmaceuticals (ICPT) has, there’s really only one thing for an analyst to do–raise their price target. And that’s exactly what Citigroup did today with Intercept Pharmaceuticals, the best performing biotech company in the Russell 2000.

Intercept Pharmaceutical has surged 576% this year after gaining today, besting InterMune’s (ITMN) 119% spike and Sangamo BioSciences’ (SGMO) 63% advance.

Citigroup’s Jonathan Eckard and team explain why they’re even more excited about Buy-rated Intercept Pharmaceuticals:

We are raising [Intercept Pharmaceuticals’ target price] to $700 (+$100) based on higher regulatory confidence following a thorough assessment of FDA history with blood lipid changes in other settings involving liver damage/repair. We believe the FDA’s understanding of these lipid changes is under-recognized by the Street and the agency’s past “lack of” response to them highlights this. Therefore, we expect the lipid changes in the FLINT trial are likely to receive less regulatory scrutiny than current Street expectations and this is not reflected in [Intercept Pharmaceuticals’] current valuation. We also believe certain FLINT data could be publicly available by the end of July and before the anticipated AASLD showing.

What does all that mean for Intercept Pharmaceuticals? Here’s the one-sentence version: “Our increase is driven primarily by higher probability of approval and more rapid penetration into the most severe NASH population.”

Shares of Intercept Pharmaceuticals have gained 2.9% to $461.11, while InterMune has dropped 2.9% to $32.29 and Sangamo BioSciences has dipped 0.5% to $22.67.

  • [By Jake L’Ecuyer]

Intercept Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ICPT) was also down, falling 26.36 percent to $268.60 after a Wall Street Journal article Friday reported that the NIH had said patient’s of the company’s drug had more bad cholesterol than when they had started treatment.

  • [By Jake L’Ecuyer]

    Equities Trading UP
Shares of Intercept Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ICPT) got a boost, shooting up 62.40 percent to $452.02. Citigroup lifted the price target on the stock from $60.00 to $400.00, while Bank of America raised the price target from $81.00 to $872.00.
