Top 10 Performing Stocks To Watch For 2019

Lam Research (LRCX) is one of the backbones of the silicon microprocessor industry – today, pretty much every advanced chip is built with Lam technology – but the company remains undervalued and under followed. The company creates wafer fabrication equipment and offers services that allow chip makers (like Samsung (OTC:SSNLF), Toshibia (OTCPK:TOSBF), Elphia, Hynix and more) to build smaller, faster, and better performing electronic devices. It is one of the top three semiconductor equipment manufacturing companies, with Applied Materials (AMAT) and ASML, but for a company with a revenue of $9.6 Billion last year, and a market cap of over $30 Billion, they are vastly undervalued.

Thesis

Investors are presented with a great opportunity to initiate a position in Lam Research, which is made even more appetizing due to the slump in share price after Q3 earnings. Imagine going into a store where everything is 30% off. You find a jacket that’s amazing – high quality and well made – and see that on top of the store wide 30% discount, the Jacket has another 10% off. That’s a great deal, and it’s exactly what Lam Research is. In addition to its upside potential, the company has great future growth prospects due to steadily increasing demand of its products, and could also be a future dividend player. WCR feels that LRCX has an upside potential of up to 40%, and has a 12 month price target of $260.

Top 10 Performing Stocks To Watch For 2019: International Speedway Corporation(ISCA)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Wall Street moved lower on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average suffering a 201-point decline. Stocks took their cues from the bond market, where bond prices dropped sharply in response to extremely strong U.S. economic data. For years, the economic expansion has given bond investors a Goldilocks scenario, in which growth was solid but not so sharp as to cause negative side effects, such as inflation. Now, stronger signals could force the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates more aggressively than previously thought, and that could hurt the markets. Several individual companies also suffered from bad news that sent their shares lower. Mallinckrodt (NYSE:MNK), International Speedway (NASDAQ:ISCA), and LGI Homes (NASDAQ:LGIH) were among the worst performers on the day. Here’s why they did so poorly.

  • [By Stephan Byrd]

Ralph Lauren (NYSE:RL) was downgraded by analysts at Zacks Investment Research from a buy rating to a hold rating. According to Zacks, “Ralph Lauren outperformed the industry in the past six months backed by robust bottom-line performance in recent quarters. Notably, third-quarter fiscal 2018 marked the company’s 12th consecutive earnings beat while sales lagged estimates after a beat in the previous quarter. Additionally, the company’s Way Forward Plan is on track, and it remains keen on bolstering digital and international presence. Also, the company has been gaining from favorable geographic and channel mix shifts along with lower promotions and reduced product costs. Further, management adjusted fiscal 2018 outlook to account for the positive currency rates, which are likely to aid revenues and operating margins. However, its North America business continues to suffer due to distribution and brand exits, planned reduction in shipments and promotions to enhance the quality of sales, and lower customer demand.”

Hot Clean Energy Stocks To Buy For 2019

Watching the fireworks yesterday, a houseguest commented on why the techno display is bad for the environment (there’s always one in every crowd, isn’t there…!) It’s hard to ignore the majesty of a well produced fireworks display, and I don’t really see too many people hopping on the “let’s clean up the environment by eliminating standard 4th of July fare” bandwagon, but the issue did spark a larger discussion about clean energy, and in particular, LED lighting.

Incandescent bulbs were phased out beginning in 2007, and now, 10 years later, no incandescent light is manufactured in or imported for sale into the United States. These notoriously inefficient sources of light have been replaced globally with LED lights, which are more energy efficient, emit greater light, last multiple times longer than traditional bulbs, and are far cooler from an operational – and now a style quotient – standpoint.

A blockbuster announcement that Amazon.com (AMZN), JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) would team up on a broad health-care initiative wreaked havoc on the sector and spilled over into the broader stock market. Amazon, Berkshire and JPMorgan collectively said in a press release Tuesday that “they are partnering on ways to address healthcare for their U.S. employees, with the aim of improving employee satisfaction and reducing costs.” The surprise announcement included few details, but that didn’t stop investors from fleeing out of fear that Amazon will do what it does when it enters a new market: Batter the competition. Top 10 Warren Buffett Stocks To Watch Right Now: California Grapes International, Inc. (CAGR)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

It is hard to fully wrap your hands around the potential market opportunity that Accenture will have in the years ahead but I believe that the opportunities are almost endless (dramatic, I know). For example, consider these forecasts that Forbes detailed in its “2017 Roundup Of Internet Of Things Forecast” report:

According to Bain, “B2B IoT segments will generate more than $300B annually by 2020, including about $85B in the industrial sector”. According to PwC, “$6T will be spent on IoT solutions between 2015 and 2020”. According to Accenture, “Industrial Internet Of Things could add $14.2T to the economy by 2020”. According to Statista, “The global Internet of Things (IoT) market is projected to grow from $2.99T in 2014 to $8.9T in 2020, attaining a 19.92% Compound Annual Growth Rate (OTCPK:CAGR). Industrial manufacturing is predicted to increase from $472B in 2014 to $890B in global IoT spending. Healthcare and life sciences are projected to increase from $520B in 2014 to $1.335T in 2020, attaining a 17% CAGR”.

The forecasts compiled by Forbes are all over the place but one thing is consistent, that is, the growth potential for IoT (and the sub-industries) is real. Connected things are expected to experience significant growth and I believe that it is hard to deny that digital will play a key role in the future growth of the global economy.

Top Safest Stocks For 2018

Doug Hughes focuses on lesser-known, small cap regional banks; the editor of Bank Newsletter looks for banks that operate in attractive regional markets, often ones that would be attractive acquisition targets.

AvidBank Holdings (AVBH) has the fastest growth of any bank out there and yet is still one of the safest with almost no bad loans, and a great, great market area in Palo Alto, California.

Management knows what it is doing and they will likely sell within 3 years. Earnings power is $3.00 a share by 2018. This is a great bank that is operating in great markets.

I consider the shares to be very safe, make it a top holding in the current environment.

With rates going up and most large regionals banks up 30% or more recently a deal price would now have to be at least 2.5 times book or $32 a share.

In my view, this stock has almost zero downside risk in an otherwise high-risk market. Buy now and sleep well. I consider the stock to have an excellent risk-reward ratio.

Top Safest Stocks For 2018: Charter Communications, Inc.(CHTR)

Advisors’ Opinion:

It was just a little more than a year ago when Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) was the largest U.S. pay-TV provider. And it wasn’t even close. But after AT&T (NYSE:T) merged with DirecTV, it took over the top spot. Now, AT&T’s rival telecom company, Verizon (NYSE:VZ), is reportedly considering a megamerger of its own with Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR). The move would put the combined company’s total video subscriber count very close to Comcast’s.

The potential merger points to a big hole in Comcast’s service offerings — its lack of wireless service. If customers can save money by bundling their TV, internet, and wireless bills together with its competitors, Comcast stands to lose customers. But Comcast’s management and investors shouldn’t lose sleep over the possibility that its two biggest competitors offer wireless service.

As one of the group of companies associated with telecom magnate John Malone — who regularly uses complex, tax-efficient corporate transactions to unlock value for shareholders — Liberty Broadband serves as a holding company that controls a diverse set of media assets. The most important of these is Liberty Broadband’s ownership of 25% of Charter Communications’ (NASDAQ:CHTR) total voting power, which effectively makes Liberty Broadband a tracking stock for Charter Communications shares. As such, Liberty Broadband shares have largely mirrored the impressive rally in Charter Communications stock over the past year. Particularly given Charter’s upcoming launch of its own wireless service network, Soros’ investment in Liberty Broadband remains an interesting option as the cable and telecom industries continue to evolve.

Top Safest Stocks For 2018: Microsoft Corporation(MSFT)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By ]

Microsoft  (MSFT) trades for 23 times a fiscal 2019 EPS consensus of $3.92. But the company’s near-term earnings are depressed by a shift in its revenue mix from up-front license sales to cloud subscriptions. Cash-flow multiples are lower: Microsoft’s enterprise value (market cap minus net cash) is equal to 17 times its fiscal 2019 free cash flow (FCF) consensus. The dividend yield is at 1.9%; as is the case for Apple, tax reform could motivate Microsoft to hike its dividend.

Top 5 Wireless Telecom Companies For 2016

SpaceX launched a satellite toward distant orbit on Friday after multiple delays.

The private space exploration company, headed by Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk, launched from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 6:35 pm ET.

SpaceX has set five different launch dates, the first of which was on February 25 — and it has halted six countdowns due to problems with the rocket fuel, weather, and even interference from a nearby boat.

But on Friday, SpaceX employees and onlookers cheered as the Falcon 9 rocket hurtled toward the sky without issue.

The mission was to deliver a massive satellite that could provide broadband internet to remote areas of the Asia-Pacific into geosynchronous orbit.

That’s no small feat. More than 22,000 miles into space, geosynchronous orbit is 100 times further than where the International Space Station orbits.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Roberto Pedone]

One biopharmaceutical player that’s rapidly moving within range of triggering a major breakout trade is GTx (GTXI), which is dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecules that selectively target hormone pathways to treat cancer, osteoporosis and bone loss, muscle loss and other serious medical condition. This stock has been hammered by the bears so far in 2013, with shares off sharply by 53%.

If you look at the chart for GTx, you’ll notice that this stock recently gapped down sharply from over $4 to below $1.50 a share with heavy downside volume. Following that gap down, shares of GTXI have rebounded sharply and started to uptrend, with the stock moving higher from its low of $1.31 to its recent high of $1.96 a share. During that move, shares of GTXI have been consistently making higher lows and higher highs, which is bullish technical price action. That move has now pushed shares of GTXI within range of triggering a major breakout trade.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in GTXI if it manages to break out above some near-term overhead resistance at $1.96 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above that level with volume that hits near or above its three-month average action of 1.35 million shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then GTXI will set up to re-fill some of its previous gap down zone from August that started just above $4 a share. Some possible upside targets if GTXI gets into that gap with volume are $2.50 to $3 a share, or possibly even $3.50 a share.

Traders can look to buy GTXI off any weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below some key near-term support at $1.50 a share. One can also buy GTXI off strength once it takes out $1.96 a share with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point.
