WASHINGTON — President Trump said Sunday that he and Chinese President Xi Jinping are working to put the troubled Chinese telecom manufacturer ZTE back in business.

Trump, who has taken a hardline stance on trade with China, said in a follow-up tweet a few hours later that China and the U.S. are working well together on trade, “but past negotiations have been so one sided in favor of China, for so many years, that it is hard for them to make a deal that benefits both countries.”

“But be cool, it will all work out!” he wrote.

Hot Low Price Stocks To Invest In Right Now

Ford (NYSE:F) is known for its attractive valuation, it currently trades at around 7 times its 2017 projected earnings and has an attractive dividend yield of 5.36 percent. It also has a very low price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) compared to most other companies on the S&P 500. The stock trades at around $11 during the time I am writing this. However, after digging a little deeper, I have found that the future looks bearish for Ford.

The automobile industry is known to be a very cyclical industry and I, along with many other people, believe that the cycle has peaked after years of high demand. We are witnessing a downtrend in automobile demand. In March, US auto sales fell 1.6 percent; 1.56 million cars and trucks were sold in March, falling below the projected sales of 1.62 million cars and trucks. Sales are down 1.6 percent compared to the same month last year. Ford only sold 236,250 cars; this is a 7 percent decrease in sales compared to the prior month.

Much of the focus of cannabis investors has been centered on Canada and California. This makes sense given that they are the two largest recreational (or soon to be) cannabis markets in the world. However, one publicly traded company with US-centric cannabis operations has taken a different approach. iAnthus Capital is listed in Canada on the CSE (OTCQB:ITHUF), but is headquartered in New York and incorporated in Delaware. Unlike other Canadian-listed cannabis companies, most of which are aiming to get in on the highly competitive green-rush in California and Canada, iAnthus has set its sights on becoming the dominant player on the U.S. East Coast.

Apple’s (AAPL) Services division is now the second-largest business segment in the company’s arsenal. A big driver of this growth has been Apple Music. However, nearly one and a half years later, the question still remains, “What impact is Apple Music going to have?”

Over the past year, the company has seen its iPhone, Mac and “Other Products” segments drop by double digits in revenue. During the same time frame, Apple Music has grown 22% in revenue alongside Apple Services 24% growth. It has been a small saving grace for investors during the most recent earnings release.

How much does it cost to service each subscriber?

Royalties

According to the New York Times, Apple pays $0.002 per stream in royalty fees. Additionally, music publishers earn $0.47 per 1000 streams. This totals $2.47 per 1,000 streams, which can be treated as its cost of goods sold.

In 2013, Spotify’s (Private:MUSIC) users listened to approximately 110 minutes of streamed music per day. Assuming the average song length is three minutes, there would be 1,100 songs listened to per month. That would be the equivalent of $2.72 worth of Apple Music payments.

Top 10 Heal Care Stocks To Buy For 2018: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft (BAYRY)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By ]

Both companies reported that the phase 3 trial known as IMblaze370 had failed. This study recruited a total of 363 patients with locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer. One key thing to note first is that the patients that were recruited into the study, were those who had already been heavily pretreated with 2 or more prior regimens of chemotherapy. The trial was putting the combination of Tecentriq and Cotellic versus the control arm which was regorafenib (STIVARGA) from Bayer (OTCPK:BAYRY). Unfortunately, the treatment combination arm failed to improve overall survival versus the control arm. There was no actual results released yet. It was stated that full detailed results from this study will be released at an upcoming medical conference. The problem is that it doesn’t matter what the results are, the bottom-line is that the primary endpoint was not met.

  • [By Cory Renauer]

It looks like the benefit-to-risk ratio is off the charts for larotrectinib as well as LOXO-292, but the number of patients with TRK fusion cancers that fail multiple existing treatments is somewhere between 1,500 and 5,000 each year in the U.S. Investors also need to understand that Loxo Oncology licensed its candidates from Array Biopharma (NASDAQ:ARRY) and owes its partner substantial milestone payments and mid-single-digit royalties on any sales they might generate. Loxo has partnered withBayer AG (NASDAQOTH:BAYRY), and if approved, the German giant will share U.S. profits with Loxo and pay double-digit royalties on sales abroad.

  • [By ]

And why did Bayer (OTCPK:BAYRY) buy this drug, too?

Unfortunately, in most cases, resistance is inevitable at some point, even if you attain a strong response that lasts a while. It is a near-truism that patients will eventually acquire resistance to kinase inhibitors, except in rare exceptional circumstances and treatment settings like chronic myeloid leukemia, where a lot of patients can have a persistent remission for years and years.

The stock market dealt with continued volatility on Tuesday, with investors uncertain how to react to a mix of earnings and geopolitical news. Throughout most of the day, market participants were trying to predict whether the Trump administration would move forward with its plans to withdraw the U.S. from the nuclear deal with Iran, and major benchmarks stayed in a relatively tight range with a downward bias during the morning and early afternoon. After the expected announcement, the Dow fell to a triple-digit loss late in the afternoon, but it recovered by the end of the session. Adding to the gloominess was bad news regarding some key individual stocks. DISH Network (NASDAQ:DISH), Gogo (NASDAQ:GOGO), and Hertz Global Holdings (NYSE:HTZ) were among the worst performers on the day. Here’s why they did so poorly.

  • [By Garrett Baldwin]

Oil prices are at levels we haven’t seen in years. U.S. crude topped $70 for the first since 2014, as U.S. President Donald Trump appeared increasingly likely to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal and reinforce sanctions on Tehran. In addition, OPEC has announced plans to bolster prices and cap production. For oil investors, Money MorningGlobal Energy Strategist Dr. Kent Moors says it’s time to buckle up. According to Moors, revoking the Iran deal would cause “price chaos” around the globe. And that’s right as driving season starts in the United States. Here’s more on the coming chaos for oil. In deal news, Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) announced it will purchase Gramercy Property Trust (NYSE: GPT) for $7.6 billion in cash. Grammercy manages commercial real estate. While this may seem like a boring deal, Blackstone is buying a business that churns out cold hard cash for its investors. We want to keep this deal on your radar, because there are many other deals like this coming down the pipeline. We’re going to be discussing one of the best real estate opportunities available very soon – so keep an eye out for updates.

Top 10 Casino Stocks To Watch Right Now: Franco-Nevada Corporation(FNV)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Shane Hupp]

ARP Americas LP cut its position in Franco-Nevada (NYSE:FNV) (TSE:FNV) by 35.9% in the 1st quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the SEC. The fund owned 7,441 shares of the basic materials company’s stock after selling 4,167 shares during the period. ARP Americas LP’s holdings in Franco-Nevada were worth $507,000 as of its most recent SEC filing.

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Franco-Nevada (NYSE:FNV) went public in the U.S. market more than a decade ago, and over that time, the company has established itself as a major player in an important niche in the natural resources industry. Franco-Nevada neither mines gold nor drills for oil, but by helping to finance projects that mining companies and oil drillers want to pursue, it ensures it can get a cut of the profits. That’s been a winning business model lately, and throughout its history as a publicly traded company, Franco-Nevada has stood out for one thing that it’s done consistently well: paying and raising its dividend regularly over time.

  • [By Reuben Gregg Brewer]

Although gold streaming is something of a niche in the precious metals market, the largest competitors have been in the business since the 1980s,while new entrants are showing up as well (including hedge funds, private equity, and pension funds). Most investors, however, should probably stick with the largest, easiest to trade, and longest-tenured companies for now. Here are the top five.

    Company Market Cap Dividend Yield

    Franco-Nevada (NYSE:FNV) $13 billion 1.3%
    Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE:WPM) $9 billion 1.7%
    Royal Gold (NASDAQ:RGLD) $6 billion 1.2%
Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. $1.6 billion 1.6%
Sandstorm Gold Ltd. $800 million N/A

    Franco-Nevada

The largest streaming company by market cap is Franco-Nevada. As noted above, it has investments in nearly 300 mines, 50 of which are producing. However, it has taken diversification further than its peers by investing in around 80 oil and natural gas assets (57 producing), following the same basic business model. It’s not as pure a play on metals, but if you are looking for diversification, that non-precious-metals exposure is an interesting addition to the mix. That said, gold provides roughly 70% of its revenue, with silver at 15%, and oil and gas at just 7% (the rest is, effectively, “other”), meaning that gold is still the big driver of performance here. The company has increased its dividend annually for 10 consecutive years.

  • [By David Zeiler]

“If you look back to the 70s, 80s and 90s, in every of those decades the industry found at least one 50+ million ounce gold deposit, at least ten 30+ million ounce deposits and countless five to 10 million ounce deposits. But if you look at the last 15 years, we found no 50 million ounce deposit, no 30 million ounce deposit and only very few 15 million ounce deposits,” Pierre Lassonde, chair of gold royalty and income stream company Franco-Nevada Corp. (NYSE: FNV), told German financial newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft last October.

  • [By Reuben Gregg Brewer]

Gold streaming company Franco-Nevada Corporation (NYSE:FNV) offers investors a unique way to gain exposure to precious metals, but when you compare it to peers Royal Gold, Inc. (NASDAQ:RGLD) and Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. (NYSE:WPM)it looks relatively expensive. That said, if you are looking to gold for diversification you might still find that Franco-Nevada Corporation stock is a buy.

IBM CEO Ginni Rometty. Image source: IBM.

    5 reasons to buy IBM
IBM posted its second straight quarter of annual sales growth after almost six years of declines. Its revenue rose 5% annually to $19.07 billion, beating estimates by $390 million. Its non-GAAP earnings also grew 4% to $2.45, topping expectations by $0.06. IBM’s closely watched “strategic imperatives” (SI) revenue — which comes from its higher-growth cloud, social, mobile, security, and analytics businesses — rose 12% annually (10% on a constant currency basis) to $37.7 billion over the past 12 months. That accounted for 47% of IBM’s revenue, compared to42% a year earlier. This tells us that Big Blue’s shift from legacy businesses to higher-growth ones is gradually paying off.IBM also noted, without disclosing an exact figure, that its security revenues also rose 60% annually during the quarter. IBM’s total cloud revenue over the past 12 months rose 22% annually (20% in constant currency) to $17.7 billion. For the quarter, its higher-growth cloud-as-a-service revenue rose 25% annually (20% in constant currency) to $10.7 billion, compared to 20% reported growth in the fourth quarter. Three of IBM’s four computing business segments (Cognitive Solutions, Global Business Services, and Technology Services & Cloud Platforms) posted positive annual sales growth and topped analyst estimates. IBM’s stock remains fairly cheap at less than 11 times this year’s earnings, and it pays a forward dividend yield of 3.8%. That low valuation and high yield should limit its downside potential.
    5 reasons to sell IBM
IBM’s total sales were buoyed by a weak dollar. On a constant currency basis, its revenue actually stayed flat year over year during the quarter. On a constant currency basis, its Global Business Services and Technology Solutions & Cloud Platforms revenue would both have declined 1% annually. Its Cognitive Solutions revenue rose 6% in dollars, but just 2% on a constant currency basis. The

Top Clean Energy Stocks For 2019

It’s important for investors to know how to invest in penny stocks safely. That’s because they’re often volatile and can sometimes be fraudulent, despite offering triple-digit returns in a matter of weeks. We’ll show you our top two strategies for finding good penny stocks to buy, plus our small-cap stock pick primed for double-digit growth this year…

Video3 Strategies for Investing in Penny Stocks

If you’re looking for proof of just how explosively profitable penny stocks are, Delcath Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: DCTH) is a perfect piece of evidence. This company saw its stock price surge from $0.02 on June 1 to $0.19 on June 26. That marked a stunning 850% gain, which happened after the company announced phase 2 trial data for its cancer drug Melphalan would be released.

But these triple-digit returns aren’t always justified by the company’s profits or business potential. For instance, Chinese energy company Hongli Clean Energy Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: CETC) saw shares jump 144% from $1.90 to $4.63 during just the first five sessions of April.

Top Clean Energy Stocks For 2019: Accenture plc.(ACN)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Laurie Kulikowski]

Recently, TheStreet Ratings objectively rated this stock according to its "risk-adjusted" total return prospect over a 12-month investment horizon. Not based on the news in any given day, the rating may differ from Jim Cramer’s view or that of this articles’s author. TheStreet Ratings has this to say about the recommendation:

We rate ACCENTURE PLC as a Buy with a ratings score of A+. This is based on the convergence of positive investment measures, which should help this stock outperform the majority of stocks that we rate. The company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, solid stock price performance, growth in earnings per share and increase in net income. We feel its strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had somewhat disappointing return on equity.

  • [By Lisa Levin]

In trading on Thursday, industrial shares fell by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, top losers in the sector included Accenture Plc (NYSE: ACN), down 4 percent, and Manitex International Inc (NASDAQ: MNTX), down 4 percent.

  • [By Laurie Kulikowski]

With a dividend payout ratio of 44% and dividend yield of 2%, we consider Accenture our favorite income oriented security, recognizing valuation is near peak multiples. Fundamentally, we believe its mix of business should result in above-average revenue growth, and mix allows for modest margin expansion (rare in IT Services), that should result in steady and attractive double-digit total returns to shareholders.

  • [By Chris Lange]

The S&P 500 stock posting the largest daily percentage loss ahead of the close Thursday was Accenture PLC (NYSE: ACN) which traded down nearly 4% at $122.34. The stocks 52-week range is $108.66 to $128.47. Volume was over 8.3 million versus the daily average of 2.3 million shares.

Hot Performing Stocks To Buy Right Now

Tupperware Brands’ (NYSE:TUP) stock has tumbled more than 40% since last July on a consistent flow of negative news. Most recently, TUP revised its first-quarter earnings forecast down by 14% to $0.87-0.92 from a previous range of $1.01-1.06. Customer service, supply chain, and tax issues were the main reasons for the revision. With that being said, I see the stock as being significantly undervalued for the following reasons:

Free cash flow is expected to rebound to $170-180 million in 2018, an increase of approximately $30 million over 2017. Free cash flow should further rebound in future years as TUP completes its reengineering program. This yields 51% upside potential in a conservative discounted cash flow model. TUP is performing well in Emerging Markets, especially China and Brazil, which could push TUP to a growth trajectory in the coming years. The company currently has a dividend yield of 6.52%, which is supported by free cash flow. Based on TUP’s 2018 free cash flow projection, this should equal dividend coverage of approximately 80%. It has attractive fundamental valuations including a Forward P/E of 8.51x and a PEG of 0.73x. Tupperware Brands’ Operations

Officials in China’s gambling enclave of Macau have raised concerns about sexual misconduct allegations against casino mogul Steve Wynn.

The intervention adds to mounting pressure on Wynn and Wynn Macau (WYNMF), the business that generates most of the profit for his gambling empire. The Hong Kong-listed division of Wynn Resorts (WYNN) has lost more than $2 billion in stock market value over the past two days.

The plunge comes after a Wall Street Journal investigation uncovered decades of sexual misconduct allegations made against Wynn, the 76-year-old founder and CEO of Wynn Resorts. The company’s board of directors has launched an investigation into the allegations, which Wynn has denied.

In a statement Tuesday, Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau said it had expressed concern about reports of Wynn’s “involvement in inappropriate behavior” during a meeting with Wynn Macau’s leadership. It said it has asked the company for more information.

5 Things You'll Want to Know About CVS Health's Plans for 2018 and Beyond

CVS Health (NYSE:CVS) started off 2018 with solid first-quarter results. The company’s retail business looked especially good, bolstered by a rough flu season and the Easter holiday. But the first quarter is now in CVS Health’s rear-view mirror. What lies ahead for the pharmacy giant?

Larry Merlo, CVS Health’s CEO, along with other executives, spoke at length during the company’s first-quarter conference call about several initiatives that are under way. Here are five things they said about CVS Health’s plans for 2018 and beyond that you’ll want to know about.

1. Acquisition activity

Much of the first-quarter call discussion focused on CVS Health’s pending acquisition of Aetna (NYSE:AET). Merlo provided an update on what he called the “three very important workstreams” related to the deal:shareholder approval, the regulatory pathway, and integration planning.

The first of those workstreams can now be checked off. Both CVS Health and Aetna shareholders voted to approve the deal with over 95% shareholder approval.

Merlo stated that CVS is working to provide information requested by the U.S. Department of Justice in February. He added that the scope of the request wasn’t unexpected. In addition, progress has been made on obtaining state-level approvals. The company continues to expect that the acquisition will close in the second half of 2018.

Regarding integration planning, Merlo said the two organizations are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition, laying the groundwork for achieving projected synergies, and creating a “long-term roadmap for success and growth.” He added that “the really exciting part of this transaction is our opportunity to rethink and reinvent healthcare in our country.”

2. Debt

One negative aspect of the planned Aetna acquisition, though, is the additional debt CVS Health took on to fund the transaction. Because of the added debt load, CVS suspended its share buybacks and is no longer increasing dividends until it can lower its leverage ratio.

CVS Health CFO Dave Denton said the $40 billion in new debt related to the Aetna acquisition will result in a pro forma trailing-12-month adjusted debt-to-EBITDA ratio of around 4.6 after the deal closes. The company wants to reduce that ratio to around 3.5 over the two years after the close, with a longer-term goal of lowering the leverage ratio to below 3. Denton stated that CVS Health’s cash flow and savings from U.S. tax reform should enable the company to achieve these goals.

Investors don’t have to be concerned about the additional debt negatively affecting adjusted earnings per share, though. Denton said CVS Health would exclude net interest expense related to the Aetna deal from its non-GAAP metrics beginning in the second quarter. He thinks this change will provide “a clearer picture of our underlying performance until the deal closes.”

3.Preparing for another big health insurer

Aetna isn’t the only big health insurer that has CVS Health hopping. The company is also getting ready to take on Anthem’s (NYSE:ANTM) pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business beginning in 2020.

CVS Health estimates that the implementation costs associated with the Anthem contract will be in the neighborhood of $150 million. Denton said that expenses to support the Anthem implementation were relatively small in the first quarter but would “ramp up as the year progresses.”

This spending will weigh on profit growth for CVS Health’s PBM business for a while. However, the deal will boost revenue and profits once the contract goes into effect.

4. Home hemodialysis

In April, CVS Health announced plans tointroduce new home hemodialysis technology. Merlo stated that CVS thinks it can “use the wealth of data available to our enterprise to predict and support diagnosis earlier in the patient’s disease course.” This could lead to delaying the need for dialysis. And for patients who do need dialysis, he believes that home hemodialysis “has the potential to provide a better patient experience, better health outcomes, and reduce total medical costs.”

Merlo said CVS Health plans to begin a trial of its technology later this summer. Trials will take around 18 to 24 months. If all goes well, the company will then seek FDA clearance.

CVS Health COO Jon Roberts noted that around 10% of dialysis occurs in the home today, but only 1% is hemodialysis. While that’s a narrow market, Roberts said CVS sees opportunities to expand the market, adding that home dialysis usage in some other countries is 30% to 50%.

5. Virtual care

Another innovative initiative planned by CVS Health is to offer virtual care with its MinuteClinics. Roberts stated that the company plans to launch this service later in 2018.

There will be two approaches used for virtual care. Online visits will be available for limited areas such asbirth control, allergies, hair loss, and acne. Video visits will be offered forminor illnesses or injuries, skin conditions, and wellness services.

CVS Health isn’t starting from scratch in developing its virtual care services, though. Merlo stated that the company is partnering with telehealth leaderTeladoc (NYSE:TDOC). He said CVS will use Teladoc as the engine to provides telehealth services through CVS Health’s app. The services will be provided by the company’s MinuteClinic as well as other providers. Merlo added that Teladoc is basically “private labeling our telehealth program.”

A busy year

As you can tell, CVS Health has a lot on its plate throughout the rest of the year. Some of the company’s efforts will no doubt produce short-term pain, especially the impact of the additional debt associated with the Aetna acquisition and the up-front implementation costs related to the Anthem contract. However, all of these plans also hold the potential to generate long-term gains. The downside for investors is that the pains are being experienced now, while any gains won’t be realized until down the road.
