Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks To Own Right Now: Kinross Gold Corporation(KGC)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Sean Williams]

Though it’s had a bit of tainted past, Kinross Gold (NYSE:KGC) might finally be ready to shake off its rust. Kinross Gold’s issues derive from its acquisition of Red Back Mining, which owned the Mauritania-based Tasiast mine, for more than $7 billion in 2010. Essentially, Kinross acquired this mine at the peak of the gold-price craze. The end result was Kinross writing down about 80% of the value of the deal, as well as delaying the build-out of this prized mine.

Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks To Buy Right Now

Depending on how investors look at the situation, natural gas transportation fuels leader Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ:CLNE) is either oh-so-close to finally cashing in on its long-term potential or on the doorstep of a much worse fate. Considering shares have fallen almost 80% in the last three years, it may seem difficult to remain optimistic. But there are some rays of sunshine piercing through the dark clouds.

Management has made several difficult but necessary decisions to put the business on stable long-term footing. An important federal tax credit, although not currently active, is likely to be retroactively reinstated in future periods. And new commercial trucks utilizing cleaner-burning natural gas fuels are ready to hit the market. It could prove to be just the trifecta of catalysts Clean Energy Fuels needs to turn things around.

Or not.

It’s not an easy question to answer, but investors want to know: Where will Clean Energy Fuels by in three years? Let’s take a level-headed look at the path forward.

The S&P’s single best performer is a stock that many investors had left for dead before the start of the year. In fact, Fossil (NASDAQ:FOSL) shed 70% of its value in 2017 as demand for wearable tech disrupted its core watch business. The stock has rebounded lately thanks mainly to surprising strength in its new wearables segment. However, for shares to continue their growth, Fossil will need show that it can return to steady sales and profit gains. That isn’t likely this year, given that management is projecting revenue declines of between 14% and 6% in 2018, compared to an 8% drop last year.

Top 10 Medical Stocks To Buy Right Now

MiMedx Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDXG) has struggled recently as three Veterans Affairs Department healthcare workers have been accused of accepting bribes from the company in order to promote the company’s products. My article is a rebuttal to Trent Welsh’s article “The Market Is Overreacting To MiMedx’s Latest Bad News.” I believe that the market is rightfully nervous about this news (or conversely, opportunistic shorts smell blood) and may become more bearish on MDXG as this development plays out.

Mr. Welsh believes that:

MiMedx is caught up in more bad news, but it is not implicated in the charges in any way.

Bribery charges seem a little suspicious as gifts, meals, and speaking fees are usually part of the business of medical presentations.

The damages were potential “excessive use” of MiMedx products at the VA, which could have many explanations, including the products are best in class.

Before diving into my rebuttal, I encourage readers to review the District Court document to know first hand exactly what is being claimed, rather than relying on third party interpretations of the story. In the interest of full disclosure, this source links back to Marc Cohodes’ website about MDXG. In case he decides to remove the document for whatever reason, I have provided screen captures of the most pertinent information:

Stock No. 3: Let’s go back to the well. So, April last year what was the “I?” Quick quiz at home? That’s right. It was Intuitive Surgical(NASDAQ:ISRG). I own the company, and in front of my gathered fellow Heels last week, I put Intuitive Surgical on this list, as well, so I present it for you again today. It reminds us to continue to add to our winners. It was a winner a year ago. It had a three for one stock split, something that I don’t personally care about. I don’t think we should spend a lot of time talking about stock splits. I realize some people think they’re exciting or are confused by them.

An upstart airline just snubbed the owner of British Airways.

Norwegian Air Shuttle said Friday that it has rejected two takeover offers from British Airways parent IAG (BABWF) because they undervalued the airline and its prospects.

IAG, which also owns Iberia and Aer Lingus, confirmed that it had approached Norwegian. But the industry giant said that talks had “ended without an agreement” and it was “currently considering its options.”

Norwegian stock fell as much as 11%. Shares in IAG, which reported earnings on Friday, surged 4.5%.

One of Europe’s newest airlines, Norwegian has made a splash with ultra-cheap transatlantic flights from its bases in London, Paris and Barcelona.

The upstart, which now flies around 500 routes to more than 150 destinations, carried 33 million passengers in 2017, compared to 105 million for IAG’s carriers.

IAG said in April that it had amassed a 4.6% stake in the budget airline, signaling its interest in a potential acquisition. But investors who had been hoping for a positive update on Friday were left disappointed.

Top 5 Undervalued Stocks For 2018: Cheniere Energy Partners, LP(CQP)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Paul Ausick]

Cheniere Energy Holdings’ sole asset is an approximate 48.6% limited partner interest in Cheniere Energy Partners LP (NYSEAMERICAN: CQP).

Cheniere Partners is constructing and operating natural gas liquefaction facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in the Gulf of Mexico. The company plans to construct up to six natural gas liquefaction trains, which are in various stages of development, construction and operations. Trains 1 through 4 are operational, Train 5 is under construction and Train 6 is being commercialized and has all necessary regulatory approvals in place.

  • [By Maxx Chatsko]

While numerous LNG export terminals dotting the Gulf Coast are in various stages of development, the first major facility and current largest producer is the Sabine Pass facility owned by Cheniere Energy Partners LP (NYSEMKT:CQP). The partnership is largely controlled and majority-owned by Cheniere Energy. That means the current 6.9% distribution yield is essentially funding the construction of the parent’s next export facility in Corpus Christi, although any investor seeking income can get in on the action.

  • [By Tyler Crowe]

Even though the spot price has come down a bit since then, it still gave management enough confidence to increase its guidance for the full fiscal year. Management raised its estimate for full-year adjusted EBITDA to $2.2 billion-$2.5 billion and distributable cash flow from Cheniere Energy Partners(NYSEMKT:CQP) to $0.35 billion-$0.55 billion.

  • [By Reuben Gregg Brewer]

Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE: LNG) is leading the United States toward a future that includes material liquified natural gas exports. The company’s controlled partnership,Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: CQP), already has the Sabine Pass LNG export facility up and running, rewarding investors with hefty distributions. Cheniere Energy is still building another facility in Corpus Christi that’s kept the red ink flowing; however, if the impact of Sabine Pass is any indication, Cheniere Energy could be worth a deep dive.

Fossil: Now Is The Time To Add

In 2017, Fossil (NASDAQ:FOSL) laid out an aggressive five-year strategic plan called “New World Fossil”, looking to transform the business to adjust to the changing dynamics of the traditional and connected watch business. The story was grim – Fossil was at risk of obsolescence, traditional watches sales fell off for many quarters, and the company’s ancillary products (leather and jewellery) suffered even more. The stock declined to $6 at one point.

A year later, Fossil has a new breath of life as smartwatches come to the fore, and showed that it is flexible and can transform into the new market! The stock is now $19.

This shows how emotional and short-term the market can be. The continuous slide of the share price spread the fear and affirmed investors that Fossil was deemed for failure. Chatter such as How many watches does a man need? Or Fossil is fossilising really showed how sceptical the market was with respect to the company. And madness is what it was with the share price. In the middle of this, we came out with a bold move at the beginning of the year and shared our opinion to buy in the stock. Now, at $19, we are adding more. The market likes stories, and the new story of Fossil is just starting to spread among investors.

The latest two earnings reports showed that the companys transformation plan – New World Fossil – is manifesting into tangible results. This quarters headline improvements were abundant and reflected in a huge change of sentiment in the market. So much so that even institutions are buying in.

And yes, we need to remind ourselves of the fact that as investors, we tend to seek affirmation from the market to confirm our findings. The share price reversion from $6 to now $19 tells investors that the New World Fossil strategic change is working thus far, but we are cognizant that it remains premature to judge precisely where this is going. However, Fossil is executing on the first leg of its turnaround.

Q1 Results

In the last conference call, the management laid out very conservative guidance, coupled with clear strategic goals. As a result, we factor in our reading that Fossil is attempting to underpromise and over-deliver. Regardless of how the company was before, we like this way forward.

Worthy mentions are:

Smartwatches shined again, posting growth of 97% yoy

We had the benefit of reading Fitbits (NYSE:FIT) earnings call a week before, and we would be lying if we didnt expect a good performance by smartwatches. Fitbits results and outlook on smartwatches were very assuring. Its smartwatches sales doubled on a sequential basis. Moreover, the company foresees an excellent product mix coming from its newly introduced smartwatches, and the health and wellness market is expanding rapidly.

Unsurprisingly to us, Fossils smartwatches performed well. The company delivered $80 million in sales for the quarter, 97% higher when compared to the first quarter of last year. The absolute sales percentage, 18% of total watches sales, is still small, but it was big enough to make yoy sales of watches to stabilise. Remember the double-digit declines just a few quarters before? 97% growth makes that seems so far back in the past!

Geographically, things are working better in Europe and Asia as opposed to the Americas.

(Source: Fossil’s 1Q18 8-K)

We are excited, and the analysts at the conference call were too. Nearly all questions were about the future of smartwatches.

Better yet, Fossil predicts the most dramatic improvement is going to be on fitness and health and wellness features that were already featured in a couple of SKUs last year in Q4. It is a step ahead of time. Additionally, it is always positive to learn that Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) are significantly stepping up their investment in the category and the support of the ecosystem. Lastly, wearables last year was an $18 billion business, growing to $33 billion in three years. Fitbit is the number one in this category, but it is yet to produce positive FCF. Fossil has the scale and is still winning big contracts such as PUMA. Extrapolating the 5-6% of its traditional watch market share to smartwatches is an exciting prospect.

Marketing and sales channel wise, e-commerce outperformed wholesales

Ok, so it was impressive that Fossil achieved 5% improvement in SSS. However, it wasnt strictly “same stores sales”. This growth was mainly thanks to the companys inclusion of the direct e颅-commerce sales in its comp sales calculation – this channel alone increased almost 50% for the quarter. Nevertheless, it was very encouraging to read that direct sales channel (in-store) also performed well. In contrary, the wholesale segment in the US and Europe suffered due to the phasing out of the Adidas (OTCQX:ADDYY) and Burberry (OTCPK:BURBY) contract and the decline in sales in Skagen. The remaining brands: Michael Kors (NYSE:KORS), Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, and Diesel were relatively flat. Thus, the decision to exit the wholesale business in the Europe leather segment was a welcoming move.

Digital marketing was the second strategic change that Fossil wanted to focus on, and we will be watching this closely. So far, it is executing exceptionally well.

Margins improved

Gross margin improved to 50.5%, highest in the past five quarters (4Q17: 48.66%, 3Q17: 46.45%, 2Q17: 50.49%, 1Q17: 49.76%). Q1 benefited from nearly $20 million of the New World Fossil cost tightening effort, which is projected to drive $200 million in gross margin and efficiency benefits through 2019.

The company had lower expenses in the first quarter resulting from corporate and regional infrastructure reductions, as well as lower store expenses, given 81 stores were closed since last year (the total now is 512 stores). Unfortunately, store closures will continue to hurt total direct channels sales; last quarter, this negatively impacted up to 300 basis points. All in all, we are encouraged, for as more unprofitable stores are closed, Fossil will become smaller but leaner.

Lastly, restructuring costs will continue to affect EPS. However, it will decrease as fewer stores are required to shut down.

Our reported loss of $0.99 per share included $0.35 of New World Fossil restructuring charges. Excluding these items, our adjusted EPS loss was $0.64. Last year, our first quarter EPS loss was $1 and included $0.35 impact from restructuring charges. EPS was relatively flat this year compared to last year despite the lower sales volume as we continue to deliver on our New World Fossil initiatives with improved gross margins and lower operating expenses.

EBITDA and FCF

For 2018, Fossil expects adjusted EBITDA in the range of $175-225 million and will invest approximately $25 million in capital expenditures. Coupled with interest expense of $50 million, Fossils FCF will range from $100 million to $150 million. These are fantastic numbers for a company that was supposedly struggling just a few quarters earlier.

Company management expects to see better years ahead:

As we said in our last call, our longer颅-term view is that after top颅line contraction in 2018, our initiatives should begin to stabilize sales levels in 2019 with sales growth returning in 2020 and continuing to grow annually thereafter. And with our New World Fossil transformation initiatives, we are targeting a double-颅digit operating margin over the long term.

– Source: Fossil 1Q18 Earnings Call

Financial Health

Fossils debt is at $463 million, reduced from $616 million a year ago. Cash is at $230 million, compared to $320 million last year. However, interest payment is higher by $2 million yoy due to the recent refinancing.

Overall, with trailing 12颅-month adjusted EBITDA of $204 million. Fossils first-quarter leverage ratio was 2.3 times, well within its 4.5 times bank leverage ratio covenant limits. The company is in no hurry to pay off its debts, but given the $230 million pile of cash and conservatively $100 million FCF, all debts could be paid off within two years.

Takeaway

Fossil’s 1Q18 results were very progressive in the essential areas, though dampened with a few misses in the wholesales channel, the American market and further restructuring costs expected. However, it was enough to change the sentiment of the market from the demise of traditional watches to the growth of wearables! The current product mix of 18% is expected to rise to 25%, 30% and then 35%.

With forward EBITDA of $175-225 million and FCF in the $100-150 million range, managements convincing story is well-supported! The strategic transformation to shift the company from owning 5-6% of the world’s traditional watches to owning the same percentage in the hybrid and smartwatches segments is well underway.

What’s Good: The Pride of Compton: Kendrick Lamar has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his album “DAMN”, the first non-classical, non-jazz album ever to win the award. The Pulitzer Board calls it “a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism…”

How it happened: The Nation’s music critic David Hajdu, a Pulitzer music juror, told the New York Times that the board considered more than 100 compositions, including “some pieces of classical music that drew upon hip-hop as a resource,” leading them to consider hip-hop “on its own terms.”

This year’s music jurors were Hadju; violinist Regina Carter; composer David Lang; Metropolitan Opera director Paul Cremo and Columbia University professor Farah Jasmine Griffin. Their decision was unanimous: “We listened to it and there was zero dissent,” Hajdu said. “A lively and constructive conversation, but no dissent.”

At the intersection of fashion and watches, you’ll find Fossil Group (NASDAQ:FOSL). The watchmaker has established itself as a key brand in the retail niche, but the shift toward more functional wearable devices threatened to take away its key dominance in its core market. 2018’s Biggest Stock Market Winners so Far

After a nearly perfect 2017 that saw big gains happen alongside mitigated volatility, the stock market hasn’t been able to replicate that success in early 2018.

Year-to-date, the S&P 500 is essentially flat. More than that, at one point in late January, the S&P 500 was up nearly 8% on the year. By the beginning of February, it was down 1% on the year.

In other words, the stock market of 2018 has looked very little like the stock market of 2017. Big gains have been replaced with sideways trading. And volatility has once again reared its ugly head.

But the broad market’s struggles don’t apply to every stock.

Thus far in 2018, the stock market has had some pretty big winners. And by big, I mean big. The market’s best-performing stocks have staged huge rallies of 50% and up thus far in 2018.

With that in mind, here are a few of the stock market’s biggest winners so far in 2018.

Best-Performing Stocks #1: Netflix (NFLX) Netflix NFLX stock Source: via Netflix

Nothing seems to knock secular growth giant Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) off its horse.

The other FANG names have struggled some in 2018. Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) has been hit with data leak and personal privacy concerns. Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is struggling to keep its margins up during a big investment period. Even Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has felt pressure recently due to regulatory threats.

But Netflix has faced zero meaningful threats so far in 2018. Meanwhile, the company continues to report strong beat-and-raise quarters that blow out expectations on every key metric from revenue to margins to earnings to subscribers.

That is why NFLX stock is up 70% year-to-date.

At this point, it seems that Netflix has reached escape velocity and is marching towards becoming the world’s biggest entertainment company. The Netflix streaming service just has such a powerful value prop (only $10-$15 per month for a seemingly unlimited library of exclusive content) relative to alternative entertainment options that global adoption at this point seem likes a question of when, not if.

That said, buyers should beware of valuation on Netflix stock at current levels.

I know that sounds silly for a stock that has done nothing but soar over the past several years, but even under bullish modeling assumptions of global domination and huge margin ramp, I still think the stock is only worth about $290.

Thus, at $320, it feels like the stock price has sprinted ahead of fundamentals in the near-term. In other words, if you want to buy this top-performing stock, it won’t hurt to wait for a meaningful pullback.

Best-Performing Stocks #2: Fossil Group Inc (FOSL) Fossil Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:FOSL) Source: Joe King via Flickr (Modified)

Not many people would guess this, but struggling traditional watch giant Fossil Group Inc (NASDAQ:FOSL) has actually outperformed streaming TV giant Netflix so far in 2018.

And its not because Netflix has struggled. Netflix stock is up 70% year-to-date. Fossil stock? It’s up 90%.

What is happening under the hood? Fossil is morphing into one of Wall Street’s most powerful turnaround stories.

For several quarters, Fossil fell victim to the smartwatch trend which destroyed the traditional watch market. Fossil’s core watch business tumbled. Sales got sliced. Margins were crushed. Net profits turned into net losses. And Fossil stock dropped from $130 to $5.

Yes, that is right. Fossil stock went from $130 to $5.

Seem overdone? It was.

Fossil wasn’t just laying idle as the smartwatch market killed its traditional watch business. They invested big into developing hybrid smartwatches, which are essentially the result of traditional watch fashion converging with smartwatch technology. Last quarter, FOSL gave the market signs that these hybrid smartwatches are starting to gain serious traction.

This momentum should persist.

Apple Watch won’t entirely dominate the smartwatch market. Instead, there will be multiple players in the smartwatch market, and one of the bigger players will be the company that most successfully integrates traditional watch fashion with smartwatch technology. Right now, Fossil is doing that best. Considering Fossil is the traditional watch giant, it is also pretty likely that Fossil continues to be the best at this for several years to come.

Meanwhile, Fossil stock is still at just $19. Again, this used to be a $130 stock. Therefore, it is pretty easy to conclude that if the smartwatch business continues to scale, Fossil stock still has a lot of room to run higher.

Best-Performing Stocks #3: Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG) cmg stock Source: Shutterstock

The comeback in Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE:CMG) has finally arrived. After the company hired a new CEO (who they stole from Taco Bell) and reported pretty good first quarter numbers, CMG stock has taken off and not looked back.

Year-to-date, CMG stock is up nearly 50%. And that includes a big drop in mid-February on bad Q4 numbers. Since then, CMG stock is up nearly 70%.

I was a vocal bear turned vocal bull on CMG stock. I hated the stock on the way down because it felt like health food trends had moved on from CMG and towards poke and superfood bowls. But then the tide started turning. Chipotle stores started filling up again, and the new CEO gave me faith that a Taco Bell-like turnaround was coming to Chipotle (that means targeted advertising, store redesigns, and menu innovations).

That said, after this blistering 70% rally off its 2018 low, CMG stock looks maxed out. The company faces a lot of competition in the quick casual restaurant space. Poke and superfood bowls are still very popular. Meanwhile, McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) is actually reinventing themselves to be somewhat healthy with fresh beef patties and “Better Chicken” offerings (maybe not entirely healthy, but at least healthier than before).

Plus, margins will remain under pressure into the foreseeable future thanks to wage hikes.

Overall, then, if you put the current turnaround euphoria in context with the broader picture of a rebounding food chain in an only increasingly competitive QSR space, it is easy to see that CMG stock may have sprinted ahead of fundamentals in the near-term. Indeed, by my numbers, any price tag over $400 seems a little overdone here and now.

As such, while Chipotle has been one of the best-performing stocks so far in 2018, I expect gains from here through the rest of the year to be largely muted.

Comcast Corp.(Nasdaq: CMCSA) is currently working to obtain enough capital to purchase certain assets of Twenty-First Century Fox Inc.(NYSE: FOXA). The ability to raise capital would allow Comcast to replace Disney’s $52 billion bid for the many of Fox’s key businesses. Brendan Yeager, a service quality specialist at Dalbar, gave that assessment Thursday, in an annuity service award announcement put out by Dalbar.

Dalbar, a Boston-based financial services communication consulting firm, gave its 2017 Annuity Service Award to four annuity issuers: AXA Equitable; AIG Individual Retirement; Guardian Retirement Contact Center; and Transamerica Annuities

Typical annuity contact center questions are getting tougher because consumers can now use the web to get answers to simple questions, Yeager said.

Best Stocks To Buy For 2019: Lexaria Bioscience (LXRP)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Bryan Murphy]

In the grand scheme of things it shouldn’t be surprising, though odds are good at least a few people are surprised at how quickly it happened. That is, health supplement and healthy-foods brand name NeutriSci International Inc (CVE:NU) and the developer of a cannabis-infusion technology — a means of packing more CBD into hemp oil — called Lexaria Bioscience Corp (OTCMKTS:LXRP) have finalized new supplement that is done testing and will soon be available for consumers. The tablet (a ‘melt’, technically) is a combination of pterostilbene and cannabidiol, offering a double-barreled benefit to the health-conscious.

The benefits of cannabidiol, found in hemp and marijuana, are relatively well understood by the market at this point. Cannabidiol can do a human body a lot of good, like the reduction of nausea, control of seizures, anti-cancer activity, anti-inflammation effects, and more. Pterostilbene is the lesser-known of the two components of the new tablet, but no less impressive and no less beneficial. Pterostilbene is known to combat high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and oxidative stress. Combining the two is a real one-two punch for the health-conscious.

That’s what made November’s news so exciting… NeutriSci International has an established name and marketing channel, while Lexaria Bioscience has the science that makes hemp oil far more functional. Indeed, to fully appreciate the upside for LXRP, one has to embrace Lexaria’s science and why it matters.

The bulk of the vitamins, anti-oxidants, minerals, amino acids and all the other desirable components of the pills you take and foods you eat don’t actually get absorbed into your body. Sometimes as much as 96% of the ingredient in question isn’t extracted, and instead passes right through. Not only is it a waste of time and money, it’s a bit of a hassle to swallow a big capsule — or several capsules — for little to no benefit.

Lexaria Bioscience changes this. In short,

  • [By Jim Robertson]

In October, small cap food sciences stockLexaria Bioscience Corp (OTCQB: LXRP) was issuedU.S. Patent No. 9,474,725 Cannabinoid Infused Food and Beverage Compositions and Methods of Use Thereof and now the company is seeking to expand this patent internationally. This patent protects Lexaria Bioscience Corps intellectual property related to infusion of cannabinoid compounds in edible products and includes a set of claims that describe the Companys method of combining a fatty acid compound with any non-psychoactive cannabinoid for improved bioavailability and taste performance in both food and beverage formats.

  • [By Bryan Murphy]

At first glance, it looks like it could be trouble for Lexaria Bioscience Corp (OTCMKTS:LXRP). That is, on Wednesday, the nation’s Drug Enforcement Agency brought clarity to a rule that had been up in the air since 2011. That is, in short, the DEA’s position on all cannabis extracts, including CBD oil, is that they are all federally illegal Schedule I substances.

From a legal and logical standpoint based just on the DEA’s language published in the Federal Register yesterday, that puts Lexaria Bioscience in jeopardy. Lexaria has developed a way to improve the body’s absorption of hemp oil — which is deliberately high in cannabidiol/CBD — which was perfectly legal and legitimate since THC percentage in hemp (0.3%or less) are technically legal. Now the federal government’s drug-enforcement arm says that’s not the case. The newly-clarified law defines the illegal substance as “extracts that have been derived from any plant of the genus Cannabis and which contain cannabinols and cannabidiols.” Hemp, even though it’s not marijuana, is of the Cannabis genus.

Bad news for LXRP owners? Not quite, for a handful of reasons.

The decision (which bypassed legislature and overstepped the DEA’s authority, by the way – more on that in a second) is evidence of a long-standing problem the government agency has had in dealing with hemp and cannabis. In simplest terms, the DEA has operated and acted as if it has no real understanding of the difference between hemp and marijuana. They are of the same genus, but not of the same species. Moreover, while the former predominantly contains cannabidiol, the latter is sought out for its high tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC) for the purpose of creating a “high.”

Problem (for the DEA): The U.S. judicial system has already ruled that the DEA doesn’t have the authority to make such rules.

Attorney Robert Hoban explained yesterday evening at industry website newcannabisventures.com:

Fossil Group Inc (NASDAQ: FOSL) reported downbeat results for its first quarter and issued a weak earnings forecast for the current quarter. Fossil shares tumbled 30.92 percent to $27.70 in pre-market trading.

  • [By Johanna Bennett]

It could be painful watching Fossil Group (FOSL) tomorrow. The share price plunged almost 30% during after hour market action after the fashion watch maker posted disappointing 1Q financial results, warned of a weak 2Q and slashed its full-year forecasts.

Fossil now expects sales in 2016 to drop between 1.5% and 5% compared to its former range of an 1% increase to a 3.5% decline. Full-year EPS estimates also dropped, with Fossil expecting to earn between $1.80 and $2.80, down from the old guidance of $2.80 to $3.60.

Currency headwinds seem to have played havoc with 1Q results, impacting net sales by $16.4 billion and reducing EPS by 8 cents. Fossil earned 12 cents a share on revenue of $659.8 million, which missed the Streets forecast of 15 cents a share on revenue of $667 million. The strength of the U.S. dollar was to blame,.

During the current quarter, Fossil expects per share earnings to range from break even to 15 cents a share, as net sales drop between 8% and 10%.
