Top Dividend Stocks To Invest In Right Now

The stock price of BPost (EBR:BPOST)(OTCPK:BPOSY) declined 20% in the last month driven by two main factors:

1-BPost made a cash and stock offer for PostNL (AMS:PNL) (OTCPK:PNLYY), the leading mail company in The Netherlands. Belgium and The Netherlands are two neighboring countries in Europe.

The stock market has reacted negatively to such offer because it dilutes the FCF generation of BPost and lowers the cash coverage of the dividend from 1.3x to 1.0x. In fact, PostNL, is more of a restructuring story, with cheaper valuation but also less cash generation and no current dividend payment, while Bpost is more of a recently restructured company, with good dividend and good cash generation.

However, PostNL has made it clear that it is not interested in the deal. And they key to my investment idea is the fact that the rejection is mostly based on non-monetary factors which can not be addressed. the main issue is that PostNL does not want to be part of a group that is controlled by a government, because PostNL was recently privatized, while Bpost is controlled by the government of Belgium. Dutch politicians have also expressed dislike of the potential deal. PostNLhas written a detailed answer to Bpost offer.

Top Dividend Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Netease.com Inc.(NTES)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Thursday was a relatively quiet day on Wall Street, and action in different parts of the market showed mixed signals for investors. On one hand, small-cap stocks moved higher, with key benchmarks in that area hitting record highs. Yet the better-known large-cap stock indexes like the S&P 500 gave up early gains. Looking more closely at individual stocks, some companies suffered from bad news that sent their shares falling. J.C. Penney (NYSE:JCP), NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES), and Jounce Therapeutics (NASDAQ:JNCE) were among the worst performers on the day. Here’s why they did so poorly.

  • [By Max Byerly]

KAMES CAPITAL plc decreased its holdings in shares of NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) by 68.8% during the 1st quarter, according to the company in its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). KAMES CAPITAL plc’s holdings in NetEase were worth $4,991,000 at the end of the most recent reporting period.

Shares of NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) recently tumbled after the Chinese tech company posted mixed first-quarter numbers. Its revenue rose 4% annually to 14.2 billion yuan ($2.3 billion), which beat estimates by $120 million. Unfortunately, its non-GAAP net income plunged 69% to 1.34 billion yuan ($213 million), or $1.61 per diluted ADS (American depositary share) — which missed estimates by 36 cents.

Best Gold Stocks To Own For 2018

What happened

Shares of Kinross Gold Corporation (NYSE:KGC) fell 14.3% today after the company announced first-quarter 2018 results. While the company delivered top-line growth compared to the year-ago period thanks to higher sales volumes and selling prices, it didn’t trickle down to the bottom line. Instead, net income actually decreased 21% compared to the performance in the first quarter of 2017. It’s the same sticking point Wall Street had with full-year 2017 results.

Turns out, nearly all of the decrease could be explained away by a higher income tax burden. All other important financial metrics — including all-in sustaining cost (AISC) per gold equivalent ounce, operating income, and operating cash flow — improved in the year-over-year comparison.

As of 1:01 p.m. EDT, the stock had settled to a 12.1% loss.
