Top Value Stocks To Invest In 2019

&l;!–donotpaginate–&g;&l;p&g;For as long as I can remember, the standard advice was this: If you wanted to reduce your stock market risk, invest in more bonds.

In most times, that&s;s probably good advice. But we&s;re likely entering a period of rising inflation and interest rates, so that&s;s going to get you into trouble. Even with the current volatility and yesterday&s;s stock plunge, it&s;s a good idea to review your bond holdings.

Except for a handful of short-maturity U.S. Treasury Bills, bonds are &l;em&g;not&l;/em&g; risk free. When interest rates go up, they lose value as investors scramble to get higher-yielding notes. Inflation also erodes their value.

That&s;s why, even if you&s;re skittish about stocks after recent declines, you shouldn&s;t load up on bonds. You could be headed for trouble.

Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks For 2019

Ive been right about Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) thus far.

There seem to be only two schools on Tesla. You either love the carmaker, or you hate it with a passion. I fall into the latter category, not because I’m anti clean energy, or opposed to new entries to the auto industry, but because of the grandiose and inefficient management history the company has had under Elon Musk. Ive written often about the competition and general cutthroat nature of the auto industry that Tesla faces. Ive been waiting for some time to see signs of Teslas inability to ramp up car production in a way that justifies its wild stock valuation. And boy howdy have I taken some flak in the comments section.

This week has given me some vindication on my feelings about Tesla. The stock is down on rough news of production complications, and a fading faith in Elon Musks rhetoric, something I said would happen. The valuation is not justified, and cannot be justified when youre selling such a small amount of cars and not turning any profit. I get it that this stock performance is about future potential earnings, but the company is not putting together concrete evidence that it is working toward those types of numbers.

Can I take a tax deduction for my long-term-care insurance premiums?

Take Our Quiz: Is It Tax Deductible?

Maybe. If you have a tax-qualified long-term-care insurance policy, you may be able to deduct a portion of your premiums as a medical expense. (Most traditional long-term-care policies qualify, but ask your insurer.) You can deduct eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses only if you itemize your deductions, and then only the portion of medical expenses that is more than 10% of your adjusted gross income (7.5% if you are 65 or older). For example, if you’re 50 years old and your adjusted gross income is $50,000, you can deduct eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses above $5,000.

The amount that counts toward the deduction for long-term-care policies is based on your age. If you’re 40 or younger, you can count up to $380 you paid in qualified long-term-care premiums in 2015. You can count up to $710 if youre 41 to 50, $1,430 if you’re 51 to 60, $3,800 if youre 61 to 70, and $4,750 if you’re 71 or older (the amount that qualifies is slightly higher for 2016). These limits are for each person, so a couple filing jointly can each count the premiums they paid up to the limit for their ages.

Top 5 Casino Stocks To Buy For 2019

Stars Group Inc.’s $4.7-billion purchase of Sky Betting & Gaming turns the online poker giant into a major sports-betting player that could use its strong foothold in Europe to cross the Atlantic if the U.S. market fully opens.

The Toronto-based operator of PokerStars, which announced the cash-and-stock deal with CVC Capital Partners and Sky Plc on Saturday, is set to win a significant foothold in the U.K. — the largest regulated gaming market. Sky Betting & Gaming, or SBG, is growing rapidly in online casino games and sports at home and recently expanded to Italy and Germany.

If an upcoming Supreme Court decision in the U.S. allows sports betting in more states, it would be the “icing on the cake” for the combined companies, according to Simon Holliday, founder of the research firm H2 Gambling Capital.

“The US sportsbetting Supreme Court case is obviously a big part of the potential upside, with Star’s old database, SBG’s strengths and their track record solely in the U.K.,” Holliday wrote in an email. “Even without the U.S., SBG is just starting to launch in other regulated markets.”

Advisors’ Opinion:

Oil prices are at levels we haven’t seen in years. U.S. crude topped $70 for the first since 2014, as U.S. President Donald Trump appeared increasingly likely to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal and reinforce sanctions on Tehran. In addition, OPEC has announced plans to bolster prices and cap production. For oil investors, Money MorningGlobal Energy Strategist Dr. Kent Moors says it’s time to buckle up. According to Moors, revoking the Iran deal would cause “price chaos” around the globe. And that’s right as driving season starts in the United States. Here’s more on the coming chaos for oil. In deal news, Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) announced it will purchase Gramercy Property Trust (NYSE: GPT) for $7.6 billion in cash. Grammercy manages commercial real estate. While this may seem like a boring deal, Blackstone is buying a business that churns out cold hard cash for its investors. We want to keep this deal on your radar, because there are many other deals like this coming down the pipeline. We’re going to be discussing one of the best real estate opportunities available very soon – so keep an eye out for updates.

I made the mistake in not being able to come to a conclusion where I really felt that at the present prices that the prospects were far better than the prices indicated.” Buffett says he now has a “very, very, very high opinion” of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. The Oracle believes that Bezos has created something that is “close to a miracle.” Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) added another 0.6% Monday, to reach $185.00 per share – a new 52-week high. Both companies reported that the phase 3 trial known as IMblaze370 had failed. This study recruited a total of 363 patients with locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer. One key thing to note first is that the patients that were recruited into the study, were those who had already been heavily pretreated with 2 or more prior regimens of chemotherapy. The trial was putting the combination of Tecentriq and Cotellic versus the control arm which was regorafenib (STIVARGA) from Bayer (OTCPK:BAYRY). Unfortunately, the treatment combination arm failed to improve overall survival versus the control arm. There was no actual results released yet. It was stated that full detailed results from this study will be released at an upcoming medical conference. The problem is that it doesn’t matter what the results are, the bottom-line is that the primary endpoint was not met.

Unfortunately, in most cases, resistance is inevitable at some point, even if you attain a strong response that lasts a while. It is a near-truism that patients will eventually acquire resistance to kinase inhibitors, except in rare exceptional circumstances and treatment settings like chronic myeloid leukemia, where a lot of patients can have a persistent remission for years and years.
