Where Stree Dhan given to daughters in marriage is sacrosanct, alas NSEL had not committed this sin of depriving these mothers who had a dream of accumulating this Gold by investing with them.
As far as Gold accumulation goes, E-Gold looked very viable option as you build the corpus by periodically investing to buy units of Silver and Gold, moreover you didn’t have to worry for designs getting dated. But investor came face to face with some other worry, designed by NSEL.
I am one such mother who relied heavily on building Gold & Silver corpus for my daughter’s marriage which is good 10 years ahead. It started on June 2011 and since then I have been counting my units and happily calculating that I am just this much units behind my target.
But it did not last long, my hopes were dashed on July 16, 2013 when Ministry’s dictat for NSEL came for not to launch new contracts until further instructions and sought an undertaking that existing contracts would be settled on due date.

Patrick T. Fallon/Bloomberg via Getty Images College students use Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB) and Google (GOOG) products every day, so it’s not much of a surprise that those companies are high on their lists of potential employers. But a new survey also shows Boeing (BA), the National Institutes of Health and Disney (DIS) at the top. The annual survey by Universum, an international consulting and brand marketing firm, asked 50,000 students for their top choices — undergraduates in business, engineering, computer sciences, natural sciences and humanities plus those working on their master’s of business administration. Google placed first in three categories and in the top six in all of them. “It is perception-based, so a lot of these companies have really strong brand recognition,” said Kortney Kutsop, senior account director at Universum. “We’re trying to understand what makes students tick, what they’re looking for in a career.” Government Agencies Do Well Students were given 230 potential employers to choose from. NASA, the Department of Energy, the CIA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Defense Department, the FBI and the Air Force all ranked in the top 40 for engineering students. Kutsop says this is partly because of the desire among students to “give back and be part of the greater good.” Oil and gas companies have also climbed in the rankings among engineering students. Exxon Mobil (XOM) came in No. 6, while Shell Oil (RDS-A), Chevron (CVX) and BP (BP) all made the top 25. “This generation is looking for employers that provide development, training and mentorship,” said Kutsop. “They want to become leaders of the world.” She says they also want jobs that offer some flexibility, work-life balance and job security. She says there’s a perception about millennials that they like to change jobs frequently, but in fact many are seeking job security. “They may stay if they see the opportunity to grow and advance.” Potential employers are working h

www.seaworld.com SeaWorld Entertainment (SEAS) can’t seem to catch a break. Shares of the marine life theme park operator were gutted on Wednesday after posting abysmal quarterly results. Revenue declined 1 percent to $405.2 million on flat attendance growth. Net income checked in at $0.43 a share. Wall Street was holding out for a profit of $0.51 a share with a healthy increase in revenue. From Bad to Worse As maligned as SeaWorld has been since going public at $27 a share last year, this was supposed to be its turnaround quarter. Everything seemed to be going its way. The bad weather and price hikes that resulted in a 9 percent slide in attendance during the second quarter of last year should have been a springboard this time around. The shift of the Easter holiday this year — going from March in 2013 to April in 2014 — should have provided the school holidays that boost turnstile clicks. After all, SeaWorld blamed the timing of Easter for the 13 percent plunge in attendance during the first three months of this year. As bad as the second quarter was for SeaWorld, the second half of the year is going to be even more of a mess. SeaWorld now sees revenue sliding 6 percent to 7 percent for all of 2014 — with profitability falling even harder. Desperation is starting to set in. The second quarter was the first time in the company’s brief publicly traded tenure that attendance outpaced revenue growth. That’s surprising given SeaWorld’s annual rate increases, suggesting that SeaWorld is doing a lot of discounting and promotional activity to get guests into its theme parks. SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego were the two biggest disappointments during the quarter, and even though the park operator refuses to call out “Blackfish” by name it’s clear that last year’s documentary is taking its toll. Killer PR “Blackfish,” the film that took SeaWorld to task for having killer whales in captivity and placing its trainers in danger, wasn’t much of a box off

www.sixflags.com Summer is the peak season for enjoying thrill rides and family-friendly attractions at amusement and theme parks. Summer may also be a good time to approach these havens of coasters and cotton candy as investing ideas. Let’s go over a few reasons why the fundamentals are strong for the industry. 1. Big Thrills Add Up to Big Yields Six Flags (SIX) and Cedar Fair (FUN) — the country’s two largest regional amusement park operators — combined to entertain 49.6 million guests last year, and 80 percent of those visits came between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Many publicly traded amusement park operators pay out hefty quarterly distributions. Cedar Fair can get the credit for that pocket-happy trend. It’s organized as a limited partnership, distributing most of its income to its stakeholders. Cedar Fair units currently yield 5.3 percent. When Six Flags returned as a public company four years ago, it decided to also declare beefy dividends. It now yields a healthy 4.5 percent. Even marine life park operator SeaWorld (SEAS) decided to ride the wave when it went public in last year. Its stock packs a 2.8 percent yield. Leading theme park operators Disney (DIS) and Universal Studios parent Comcast (CMCSK) aren’t as generous with their payouts, with yields of 1 percent and 1.7 percent, respectively. 2. Parks are Making Big Investments for the Future Gated attractions aren’t hesitating to make big investments that will pay off in the coming years. Just a few days ago, Indiana’s Holiday World announced that it will spend $22 million for an ambitious expansion next summer that includes the country’s first launched wing coaster. If a small yet critically acclaimed family-owned park can justify that kind of investment, one can only imagine what the larger operators will do. Universal Orlando has made a nine-figure investment this summer in its bar-raising Diagon Alley expansion. Despite some operating hiccups with the Harry Potter-themed area’s flagshi

Citigroup’s Yaron Werber explains the significance:
Overall the updated Xtandi label is in-line with expectations and is now better than the Zytiga label. The new indication is for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer which is the same as the Zytiga indication and encompasses the pre-chemo and post-chemo segments. In the clinical section of the label the statistically significant improvement in overall survival from PREVAIL is included, compared to the Zytiga label which states the analysis of overall survival did not meet statistical significance.

Small cap hydrogen fuel stocks Hydrogenics Corporation (NASDAQ: HYGS), FuelCell Energy Inc (NASDAQ: FCEL), HyperSolar Inc (OTCMKTS: HYSR) and HydroPhi Technologies Group, Inc (OTCMKTS: HPTG) are some of the lesser known small caps that are working with hydrogen fuel or hydrogen fuel cell related technology. I should say that small cap hydrogen stocks are not for risk adverse investors as there are considerable unanswered questions about hydrogen fuel related technology and whether it can be a viable green technology given the fueling infrastructure needed along with the energy and expense involved in creating hydrogen (Note: None of these small cap stocks are profitable at ). But any new technology will pose the same types of risks for early stage investors – especially if its so-called green technology.
